The article is focused on the issues of design and simulation of WDM-PON networks in optSim and optiSystem and their mutual comparison. First there will be presented possibilities of designing topologies and their transmission parameters. Further will be described options in the measurement and analysis of both simulation environments, especially by optical spectrum analyser and measure of bit error rate.
