Original Abstract

This paper presents an universal experimentation platform which allows to investigate the tuning and frequency modulation properties of MG-Y-Branch semiconductor lasers. To accommodate the potentially high tuning speeds, the system is based on a large FPGA controlling current output DACs and thus is suitable to implement elaborate Wavelength control and closed loop regulation schemes.
