Original Abstract

The contribution presents a case study on the influence of subsoil geology on the optimal shape of the centre line of thin walled buried arch. The optimal shape for the particular vault depending upon the subsoil is designed based on mathematical optimization methods, particularly on genetic algorithm and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm.
