Original Abstract

In the paper, we describe two antenna concepts for reliable long range links. First, we model separate antenna elements to investigate their electrical properties in a frequency band from 4.4 to 5.0 GHz. We compare electrical properties of designed antennas with required ones and we design large antenna arrays (8x8). In order to meet the radiation pattern requirements, we use special techniques suppressing the level of sidelobes and defining the width of the main lobe. Finally, the comparisons of numerical simulations obtained by the full wave solver (CST Microwave Studio) and measurements are discussed.
