Original Abstract

The analysis of the failure probability of a steel member designed according to the concepts of standards EUROCODE 3 and EN1990 is presented in the article. The influence of fuzzy uncertainty of kurtosis of the initial crookedness of a bar member on the fuzzy uncertainty of failure probability is illustrated on a numerical example. The paper discusses the problem of the completeness of statistical data of input parameters for implementation in probabilistic studies. Furthermore uncertainties of computational models are discussed and modern tools effective in the analysis of these uncertainties are listed.
