Original Abstract

Methods of the design assisted by testing can be used as the suitable and applicable tools for the determination of material properties and design resistances of structural members or components, especially if no other tools are usable. The standard procedure for the design resistance evaluation is shown appealing to several particular examples with respect to the number of tests, mathematical exactness and complexity of the resistance model and variation of the basic variables.
