Original Abstract

In this paper a method with wavelet transform for noise reduction in ultrasound medical imaging is described. For both 2D and 3D filtering data are transformed into the wavelet domain, according to computed threshold coefficients are shrunk and finally after the inverse transform we have data with significantly less noise with other qualities well kept. This pre-processing might be suitable e.g. for segmentation.
