The paper presents new possibilities of aplication of FRP fiber reinforced polymer plastics in civil engineering. The physico-mechanical properties and durability of FRP are mentioned. The paper presents results of research aimed to durabillity and testing of main properties of FRP. The possibilities of produciton and application of FRP in Czech market are mentioned.
