Original Abstract

This paper deals with estimation of prediction order of warped linear prediction (WLP) to frequency warping of audio signals. It is an extension of linear predictive coding (LPC) frequency-warping structure which adds frequency warped analysis filter for variable frequency resolution. This allows to achieve improved spectral estimation or lower filter order compared to the LPC based structure. The filter order estimation is carried out using spectral flatness and bark-scale flatness on five different audio signals. A discussion of the results is also presented.
