Original Abstract

The IMS architecture, better known as the Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, is a generic architecture used as the standard of support for telecommunications services to provide fixed and mobile networks convergence. In this paper, the simulation of multimedia service over the IMS using the queueing theory is considered. The article briefly presents first our previous analysis of VoD service, IMS network model based on test-bed presented in previous paper, simulated scenario based on SIP, RTSP, and RTP protocols and then obtained results of simulated scenario. The proposed model is without I-CSCF, HSS and TL elements. Finally, the results and graphs of simulations are shown and evaluated.
