Original Abstract

Quasigroups are algebraic structures, non-associative in general, which started to play an important role recetly in relation to coding theory, cryptography and the security of information. We present some finite examples of the so-called hexagonal quasigroups that form a subvariety in the variety of idempotent medial quasigroups. Our construction is based on the Toyoda-like theorem and on additive groups of finite fields.
