Original Abstract

The field of research of low-temperature fuel cells has been recently on new types of ion-exchange membranes recently. Stable poly(vinyl alcohol) based hydroxyl anion conducting membranes have been developed. These are applied in PEMFC (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells), which allows use the cheaper catalysts instead of Pt.
