Original Abstract

An NMR method is described in the paper for measuring the magnetic susceptibility of specimens from the 3D reaction field. This reaction field was mapped by Gradient Echo method (GE). For the calculation of the magnetic susceptibility was derived relationship and proposed method of signal processing. The method was verified via modelling the measured configuration in the ANSYS program using the finite element method and by experimentally measuring MR-compatible and -incompatible materials on a tomograph. A great advantage of our method for susceptibility evaluation consists in using only standard commercially used devices without needing any special sequence.
