Original Abstract

In the paper, exploitation of Elman neural network for broadband modeling of a shielded microstrip transmission line in layered media is discussed. The structure is numerically modeled by finite-element method. The numerical model acts as a teacher for Elman neural network representing the behavior of the structure. Elman neural model is compared to a feed-forward neural one from the point of view of accuracy, approximation abilities, CPU-time demands and elaborateness of the development.
