Original Abstract

The paper present a structural system for pedestrian bridges, its original construction technique, the results of static and dynamic analyses performed and the small-scale prototype construction and testing under loads. The bridge-deck is formed by a flat arch of high-performance concrete. The deck is supported by cables placed outside the cross-section of the deck by the means of triangular struts. The deck is prestressed by external cables situated bellow the deck.
