Original Abstract

Output signal of the sensors have to be converted from analog to digital (A/D) to consequential processing. The A/D converters are used for this purpose. One of the easiest implementable structures of the A/D converter is based on delta-sigma modulation and decimation. It is thank to that resolution of the delta-sigma A/D converter is mainly (above 90%) influenced by only one analog circuit and its non-ideal behaviour. There is possibility of the effective increasing of the signal to noise ratio of the converter by increasing of oversampling ratio. Resulting effective number of bits that means converter bits resolution is depended on the signal to noise ratio and goes increase too. Mentioned parameters of the delta-sigma converters offer design converters with very high resolution up to 32bits.
