Original Abstract

Development of management is probably an inexhaustible theme. Effort to improve the operation of the company is really strong motivator. There are various approaches to characterising of management. From strictly scientific, based on the large studies and researches, which can be found in many professional and scientific publications to unscientific and popular books headed by Dilbert. The first ones are probably generally more correct but the second ones are more aggressive, prickly and above all they are from real life. But Nevertheless both of them have value and clever manager is able to learn something from M.E. Porter as well as from S. Adams. The question is if managers want to learn and change their work or not. Only optimist can suppose that they will do it voluntarily. There must be something, as anywhere, which bring them to change. If we are talking about management, it seems logical that changing competitive environment will be significant factor starting changes in management work. Then the only and last question is how big change is necessary to initialise of at least some development in behaviour of management.
