Original Abstract

The proposed method is based on complex wavelet representation for zooming medical images. The images are decomposed by a modified complex wavelet transform; their wavelet representation is extended, and then is reconstructed by inverse wavelet transform. For precise zooming, edges of images are localized and preserved while areas of relatively small changes are smoothed. The developed algorithm has been tested on Visible Male Library of Visible Human Project, NLM, USA.
