Original Abstract

This paper aims to describe the issues using Free-Space Optic data link (FSO). The spread of the light in the air is described at the theoretical level. Limits of using FSO due to attenuation in the atmosphere are determinated. In the practical par tthe basic characteristics and link budget of commercially available FSO from MRV TereScope700/G are given. There is calculated availability of test FSO from data collected for 3 months for determination of suitability using FSO in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Test FSO is set up at the distance of about 200m and the discussion about effect of abridge a distance on link margin is given. In conclusion there are written possibilities of using FSO and options how to increase availability of these links.

Tento článek popisuje problematiku využití bezdrátového optického datového spoje. V teoretické rovině je popsáno šíření světla vzduchem. Pro tyto spoje jsou stanoveny limity kladené atmosférickým útlumem. V praktické části jsou popsány základní charakteristiky a výkonová bilance komerčně dostupného optického bezdrátového spoje firmy MRV TereScope700/G. Je vypočítána dostupnost spoje v lokalitě Olomouc, Česká republika z hodnot měřených po dobu 3 měsíce. Testovaný spoj je sestaven ve vzdálenosti 200 m a je provedena diskuze vlivu zkrácení této vzdálenosti na systémovou rezervu spoje. V závěru jsou uvedeny možnosti využití bezdrátového optického spoje a možností jak zvýšit jejich dostupnost.
