Original Abstract

Thesis deals with the analysis and simulation of the digital video signal transmission distortions in area of digital television broadcasting in according to DVB standard. Parts of the analysis are full specification of source, channel and link encoders and decoders used for the digital video signal transmission by the model of the transmission channel in baseband and part of the simulation is full software application. The transmission channel model deals with variable parameters and methods of design that allows linear distortion simulation including the models of additive perturbation. The core of the thesis is software application and component analysis of the functional block parameters dependence on transmission error rates in presence of error-protection during the transmission of the video signal. The results of thesis evaluate the influence of each functional block parameters on bit and symbol error rates, transmitted digital video signal and according picture quality in spatial domain.

English abstract
