Original Abstract

The report summarizes 8 month work in task T4.2 of work package WP4 within project FP6/2004/IST/NMP/2 - 016696 VAN "Virtual Automation Networks". The objective was to investigate feasible mechanism for assuring real-time communication in heterogeneous communication networks and the possibility of their integration into specification and further implementation of the platform of a VAN-device.
