Original Abstract

Microelectrodes fabricated by modern microelectronic technologies are used increasingly to miniaturize sensors as well as intelligent processing of signals (SMART sensors). Nowadays planar microelectrodes are used in electrochemical sensors and biosensors very commonly, but it brings difficulties concerning the right design and fabrication in order to obtain required properties. In this study, the planar structures of microelectrodes, their design including design rule and optimization, as well technologies for their fabrication are proposed.
