Original Abstract

In the world of limited capacity every applicable optimization on company work is requested. Nowadays, after global economic recession, every economic subject has to use maximum possibilities for own benefits. Nowadays, are exist trends, tools and models to optimization process management. But most of them are oriented primarily to big companies. The authors of this paper focused on internal information flows in small and medium-sized enterprises. This article will introduce the results of primary research in small and medium enterprises in Czech Republic. This article describes the modern trends (business process reengineering, a heuristic scheduling algorithm production, Kaizen philosophy) optimization of internal processes for small and medium enterprises. In addition, the article provides some ideas for a new application of existing methods (Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Build to Order Supply Chain) with regard to the characteristics of the operation of small and medium-sized enterprises. This research and the results are focused on companies with a batch processing, custom manufacturing and the number of employees to 251 workers. But also results of this research can be used for small and medium sized companies, which provide services. For the purpose of this article the definition of business is done by number of employees. Because authors needed to know actual condition of the studied theme, this criterion was dropped from the overall assessment. This paper presents the results of primary and secondary research of the junior grant titled "APS / SCM optimization of information flows in small and medium-sized enterprises". This grant was awarded an internal grant agency BUT, Czech Republic. The paper presents the system of evaluation information flows inside company. Then, based on a survey of secondary data are the recommendations for non-optimal processes and overall recommendations process chain. The article presents the possibility of testing the system offered in the form of instructions for use and open on web http://fbm.euweb.cz/research/. Nowadays this system is only in Czech language, because research held in Czech Republic. But in future authors plan translate web on English and publish research and their results for other states. This research continually is in active phase. Everyone from SME in Czech Republic can participate on this research. The end of this research is planned on first half year 2011. On this paper are presented instructions for use this universal mechanism of evaluation inside information flows. This article not only combines the classical method of optimization of complex process control and modern trends in management, but also offers opportunities for practical application and gives candidates the opportunity to try out this system in their own business. Therefore, this article may be defined as the current and applicable in practice. The objective of this research is to add some complexity in modern optimization process management tools. Another objective is the application of modern trends in small and medium-sized enterprises. The main goal is, above all, development and application of modern trends in terms of process management for small and medium business.
