Original Abstract

A novel approach to the suppression of the phase shift fluctuation in the phase-modulated fibre optic sensors is proposed. Schemes for fibre optic Mach-Zehnder and Mikelson interferometers with the chirped fibre Bragg gratting for the compensation of frequency induced phase noise are shown. The Brag gratting design criteria are discussed and the chirp slope tuning mechanism suggested.
