Original Abstract

The requirements on low-supply circuits lead to the design of analog blocks working in the current mode, since here a sufficient value of the signal-to-noise ratio can be reserved and, also, broader bandwidths can be achieved. In this paper a new topology of a pure current-mode frequency filter is presented using the Multi-output Current Mirror and Inverter (MCMI) active element. The behaviour of the proposed circuit was also experimentally verified by the implementation a third-order low-pass frequency filter.
