Original Abstract

This paper deals with a technology of the real-time audio signal processing using the plug-in technology. It describes design of a host environment for digital signal processors of the Motorola DSP56300 family that uses this technology and also some part of realization of the environment in details. The host environment is designed for adding and removing plug-ins from the system using communication interface without interruption of the audio signal processing, and for changing its parameters using the same interface, again without interruption of the audio signal processing.
