Original Abstract

General packet radio service (GPRS) is a mobile data service, which offers packet-switched connection to data networks via mobile technology, provides highly efficient use of radio spectrum and enables high data speed. The TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) packet data protocol (PDP), which is under standardization in ETSI, will offer new data communication services, such as packet data communication, and IP services. This paper describes the interconnecting of TETRA network to another PDN network or to another TETRA by using GPRS.
