Original Abstract

The work is focused on the investigation of chemical processes occurred during the diaphragm discharge in water solutions. The general aim of the work is the study of the discharge abilities in the field of water treatment. Various chemical active species such as radicals, ions and molecules, which are produces by the discharge in water, can caused degradation of organic compounds dissolved in water and their removal from this environment. Degradation processes are studied especially on organic dyes and some chosen organic compounds, whose removal from water is requested. All processes are investigated for various discharge conditions (applied voltage, initial conductivity of the solution, used electrolyte, diaphragm parameters, electrode material etc.).
