Original Abstract

The size effect on the flexural strength (or modulus of rupture) of fiber-polymer laminate beams failing at fracture initiation is analyzed. A Generalized energetic- statistical size effect law recently developed on the basic of a probabilistic nonlocal theory is introduced.
