Original Abstract

The goal of this text is to present results of simulation, comparison and optimization of various methods of visualizing sound fields on the basis of measurements with microphone arrays. The purpose of the work is to determine how a realistic microphone array disturbs the sound field and affects its performance in visualizing methods. The methods for visualizing of the sound fields are based on the principles of near field acoustical holography (NAH). A realistic model of a vibrating surface has been developed to test capabilities of NAH algorithms. The main interest is focused on the performance of the different NAH methods with respect to the precision of the estimated sound pressure fields and the sensitivity to errors and imperfections such as amplitude and phase mismatch and the position error of transducers.
