Original Abstract

Thermocouple based method of mapping of an arc heater output plume properties is being studied at the Brno University of Technology in co-operation with the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The method is used for studying of plume temperature at the points where spectroscopy is unusable due to low gas temperature. Conditions in this area are important for plasma technologies (e. g. plasma spraying).
