Original Abstract

The paper presents new formulas for evaluation of quasi-static electric field in a media with low volume and surface conductivity and permittivity under low frequency. Basic equations for the volume and surface zero current density divergence are discretized using the Galerkin method. Electrodes with prescribed currents as well as floating electrodes are introduced. The described method has been verified and implemented in a new version of program MEP 6.0 for design of high voltage apparatuses.
