Original Abstract

The paper presents a short overview of frequently used global optimization methods, and introduces novel polytope algorithms – the methods of chaos lines. The principle of the latest method, the method of chaos line with moving cells is described, and is applied to the optimization of a frequency-selective surface. The obtained results are compared with outputs of genetic algorithms at the end.
