Original Abstract

The paper first presents a short overview of frequently used global optimization methods, and then, we introduce a novel polytope algorithm – the methods of chaos lines, which we further focus on. The principles of those methods are first shortly described, and then, the ones are applied to optimization of frequency-selective surface. The obtained results are compared with ones of other global optimization methods in the end.
