Original Abstract

This paper deals with the modulus of elasticity determination of the light-weight concrete specimens with different dimensions. Three sets, which contained specimens with different dimensions made from the same light-weight concrete mixture, were used for these experiments and non-destructively tested in regular intervals. The presented results were obtained from the measurement at the age of 28 days after the specimens concreting. All the three sets were water-cured in the same way before the modulus of elasticity determination. The main aim is to determine dynamic elastic modulus values and to find out which specimens and testing methods are applicable for this purpose. The ultrasonic impulse method and the resonance method were used for non-destructive testing.
