Original Abstract
As in any other field where experimental testbed setting and experiments are rather complex and complicated, simulations are necessary and irreplaceable tool of research. Regarding to simulations and simulators available for wireless sensor networks (WSN), there are quite a few tools, which are viable for these specific purposes. It is difficult to decide which particular tool to use for the specific needs and which one would suit the best considering also certain level of experience and complexity of intended simulation. Therefore, this paper presents the main requirements of WSN simulators and gives an overview of state-of-art simulation tools designated for WSN with the conclusion that there is no an ideal simulator, which would meet all the stated requirements.
