Original Abstract

This paper deals with ascertaining modulus of elasticity of air-entrained and non-air-entrained concrete. The used types of concrete are designed for bridge constructions. Later on, homogeneity of these two types was detected in dependence on the height of test specimens. Standard cylindrical specimens and bigger concrete blocks were used for the measurements. From these blocks test specimens were extracted by core-drilling and these were non-destructive tested. The results of the air-entrained concrete were compared with the measured results of the non-air-entrained concrete. In terms of methodology of testing, both standardized non-destructive methods were used for ascertainment of modulus of elasticity of concrete.
