Original Abstract

This paper decribes in details the analysis of high-speed serial communication systems based on the STRATIX II platform from Altera. The challenges of optimizing equalization performance for a 6 Gbps system require a higher level models for design used to satisfy a wide range of customer platform leads to finding new solutions to create a reliable communication between devices that operate at frequencies above 1 GHz. In this frequency band it is necessary to accurately predict signal integrity problems that cause a significant reduction in system reliability in the worst case. These problems in the design of high-speed serial devices and proposed solutions are discussed in this paper too.
