Original Abstract

The paper is focused on confrontation of two selected transient simulation programs that are proposed for design and verification of all types of a power system. Just EMTP-ATP and PSCAD programs are chosen for this purpose. Both programs are used for a real 22kV cable network simulation. There is ignited one-phase short-circuits in the network. With the aid of the simulation, the programs po-tential is reviewed and basic network elements are de-scribed in the paper.
