Original Abstract

The knowledge of fracture-mechanical parametrs is fundamental for virtual failure modelling of elements and structures made of concrete. a key parameters for nonlinear fracture mechanics modelling is certainly the fracture energy of concrete and its variabilizy, being a subject of research of many authors. The paper describes the particular example of an experimental-numerical approach for the determination of fracture-mechanical parameters. Experimental results are used of 8 notched-beam concrete specimens subjected to three-point bending. Two basic approaches are applied to determine the fracture-mechanical parameters.
