Original Abstract

Poly(methylphenylsilylene) thin films prepared by a vacuum evaporation method and plasma polymerisation are introduced. The optical absorption, luminescence and electroluminescence of sandwich structures were measured. A luminescence color shift caused by gradual annealing up to 550°C was observed. The electroluminescence characteristics of single layer LEDs based on both materials have been compared with spin coated samples.
