Original Abstract

This paper deals with advanced theory of dielectric waveguides and with the solid state physics of bulk semiconductors. The research is aimed to the design and numerical modeling of active waveguides and antennas using the unique property of the bulk GaAs - the negative differential resistance. The mathematical model is numerically implemented using the finite element method and evaluated in COMSOL Multiphysics.
