Original Abstract

This article deals with analysis of the external magnetic field of an induction motor and also describes the magnetic field deformations in consequence of an unsymmetrical magnetic circuit. The analysis is focused on six-pole small induction machines. The machines are examined by the theoretical contemplation, finite element method analysis, measurement of rotor eccentricity by distance-drift meter and external magnetic field measurement by Hall probe. The time behaviors of the tangential component of the magnetic flux density and derived frequency spectrums are analyzed especially.
