Original Abstract

This article is aimed to a solution of electric energy source for motor vehicles - alternator. The initiatory parts of the work are an analysis of alternator parameter requirements and a wide patent and literature retrieval on the topic. Then the best candidate has been chosen - slipringless teeth alternator. Analytic design of the machine was performed and it closely corresponds with necessary numeric optimizations of different solution variations. Optimization was performed with certain simplification by finite element method in two dimensional spaces. The three dimensional simulation was also realized due to asymmetric geometry of the alternator. The work was crowned with laboratory sample and prototype manufacturing. The measurement results are also presented.
