Original Abstract

The paper describes an on-line measuring system that evaluates the effect of operating conditions on the loading characteristics of solar energy converters. In solar cells the loading characteristics are greatly affected by the action of changes in the operating temperature of the cell and in illumination. The system we propose consists of three main parts: the optimization part, the measuring part, and the internet application. The on-line measuring system of solar energy converter with power optimization is currently in full operation. It is applied on an SP17-100 photovoltaic cell (by Solartec) with a surface area of 0.845 cm2 and a power of 100 W. The data measured are presented on-line on the web pages of the laboratory.
