Original Abstract

The paper deals with description of methods for delineation of ECG waves. The methods are based on continuous wavelet transform and its complex-valued form. The aim is to detect extrema (minima and maxima) and inflection points. Modulus of time-frequency spectra of the analysed signals are used to generate maximum curves. Phase of time-frequency spectra are post-processed by thresholding to detect phase steps corresponding to significant parts of signal waves. The methods were tested on ECG signals from standard libraries using common complex-valued Morlet wavelet No.2.
