Original Abstract

Latest medical research results show that the use of magnetotherapy (also known as magnetic therapy) can be beneficial in the treatment of dermal diseases. Dermal magnetic therapy requires applicators capable of generating a thin magnetic field over a relatively large area, which can be done using large numbers of small coils. This paper describes a method and an experimental device that utilizes planar coils instead of classical wire types. An advantage of planar coils is easy mass production directly on printed circuit boards.
