Original Abstract

This paper presents the results of experimental studies of transport and noise characteristics of CdTe crystals doped with Cl, prepared by traveling heater method (THM). New testing methods based on Potential Distribution measuring apparatus have been used and parameters for ohmic contact of samples CdTe have found. The VA characteristics and noise spectral density was measured at room temperature under dark and illumination. The values of 1/f noise parameter  range from 4 × 10 4 to 2.5 × 10 3. The signal to noise ratio improves if the electric field strength in the CdTe detector is set to a higher value.
