Original Abstract

Improvement in technology of semiconductor devices makes it possible to achieve large operating voltage. This brings new requirements to structure and properties of insulation systems. Between insulated electrodes there can start the electric discharge if insulating distance is critical. In our case we tested partial discharge in planar transformer. The MOSFET converter driven by IR 2155 driver was used for the high voltage power supply for the partial discharge testing. Calibration was made by injecting square-wave pulses to acquisition circuit.
