Original Abstract

Active admixtures feature latent hydraulic potentialities; they can participate in both concrete strength increase and - in particular - improvement of some properties of fresh/hardened concrete. They impact on distribution and structure of cement poruses which results in concrete durability in a favourable manner. This paper presents results of lightweight concretes testing where METASTAR 402 kaolin (made in England), home-made kaolin (Únanov), combustion fly ash of Dětmarovice Power Plant, and fine-ground granulated slag have been admixed.
